Subject: NCAA anti-Confederate activities

Background
OPERATION FOURTH & GOAL is off to a great start. Our initial press conference ran in news outlets all over the country — television, radio and major dailies as well as Sports Illustrated’s and ESPN’s websites.

Then, last weekend, our lapel sticker campaign reached thousands at some major college football games in the South. The stickers directed people to our new website, NCAAinterference.org , so they could get information and sign an online petition. Now, the “ground war” begins.

Here’s what we need to do. We need to generate a TON of letters (letters are more effective than e-mail) to the following people:

Commissioner Robert C. Vowels, Jr.
A.G. Gaston Building
1527 Fifth Avenue, North
Birmingham, AL 35204

National Collegiate Athletic Association
Attention: Dr. Myles Brand, President
700 W. Washington Street
P.O. Box 6222
Indianapolis, Indiana 46206-6222

Commissioner Vowels is chairman of the NCAA’s Minority Opportunities and Interests Committee which is the main point of contact for the NCAA’s anti-Southern position. This committee will recommend whether to continue, cease, or expand the current boycott. Dr. Brand is the president of the NCAA. They should both hear from us.

Talking Points

• The NCAA’s actions are inconsistent with their non-profit status: South Carolina subjected the issue of the Confederate battle flag to the legislative process and Mississippi subjected the issue of their state flag to the voters in a referendum; the NCAA is practicing economic blackmail in order to achieve a political solution they desire.

• If the NCAA continues this practice it must certainly result on similar bans in other states (like Georgia and Alabama), as well as pursuing political correctness in other areas such as trying to overturn recent constitutional amendments prohibiting gay marriage.

• The NCAA should stop practicing social engineering by attacking Confederate symbols and leave such questions to the political process.

• The NCAA is being hypocritical by attacking the South Carolina and Mississippi over the issue of the Confederate flag, and ignoring other more important issues.

• NCAA events mean economic benefit for the area and national exposure for the state; the policy of the NCAA to deny South Carolina and Mississippi amounts to discrimination.

• South Carolina and Mississippi have large minority populations and, if anything, the NCAA should encourage investment in these states

Further Action
Additionally, please do the following:

1. Visit
NCAAinterference.org and sign the online petition.

2. Write your US House of Representatives member and encourage him to keep the investigation of the NCAA’s non-profit status in play. This is the duty of the Ways & Means Committee, but other congressmen could bring up the issue with colleagues on that committee. The recent change of political control in the House could cause this issue to be dropped.

3. For Mississippi and South Carolina residents, contact your state legislators to encourage them to stand up to the economic blackmail of the NCAA.

4. Write the Attorneys General in South Carolina (Henry McMaster) and Mississippi (Jim Hood) and encourage them to use the power and influence of their offices to resist the abuses of the NCAA.

The Honorable Henry McMaster
Attorney General of South Carolina
P.O. Box 11549
Columbia, S.C. 29211

The Honorable Jim Hood
Attorney General of Mississippi
P.O. Box 220
Jackson, MS 39205

Don’t forget to visit the website
NCAAinterference.org and sign the on-line petition.

General Robert E. Lee, American mass murderer?

By, Dr. Andrew Thomas Kania

Story HERE

"Our mortal enemy is our mortal enemy, he seeks to kill us. But after he is incarcerated, and can do us no more harm, let us turn, as Abraham Lincoln exhorted, to the better angels of our nature, and not go down the road to blood-lust and revenge. For this reason alone, a man who probably helped to kill more Americans than any other in history, General Robert E. Lee (1807 - 1870) was spared his life."

Want to talk about mass murderers? We could start with a number of Catholic Popes!! ... PoP

Remember the Crusades?

History of symbol was built after Confederacy
The Facts?
By Michael Morris

"If, in fact, parents want to use the rebel flag as a teaching tool, by all means they should do so. They should teach that the army that fought under it was seeking to preserve a system that enslaved other human beings. They should teach how men in white hoods carrying that flag tortured, abused and murdered blacks for decades without a hint of compassion or remorse."
