Confederate Flag Dress Keeps TN Teen From Prom
Gibson County High School senior Texanna Edwards , 18, said she wasn't allowed inside the prom after school officials told her the dress was "offensive and inappropriate."
"We asked why they thought that, but they kept saying the same thing over and over," she said Monday. "We kept asking people walking inside -- black and white -- and everyone said they loved it. Two black women even went off on the principal. They were upset with the principal. No one was upset with me."

One wonders if a single white had complained about some black "fashion statement" - like pants down around one's b.c. or a backwards ball cap or any number of ghetto inspired idiocy, if the person wearing that "statement" would have been prevented from participating in the school event. Probably not. Indeed, the person complaining would have been castigated for a lack of tolerance and, of course, being a racist. The inmates run the asylym.
