Heritage Violation at Gainesville State College, Ga.

At the 2011 Gainesville State College Faculty Biennial Exhibition there as a despicable piece of art work by Stanley Bermudez which has a large Confederate battle flag with images of a 2 Klansmen and one with a torch. Another scene has a black man hanging with blood dripping from him and another scene has a picture of an African woman in African garb?

This is located in the Roy C Landrum building of the college.

Southern pride is misguided


What is there to be proud of? What, in all of American history, has the South ever done that has separated it from the rest of the country in a positive light? Even if the South had positively distinguished itself from the rest of the U.S., which it hasn’t, why would that reflect well on the people who just happen to be born there? ~ Hudson Todd
